Geography: Yeoju is located in the southeastern part of Gyeonggi Province and borders Wonju City in Kangwon Province in the east, Icheon city in Gwangju Province in the west, Eumsung-Gun, Chungju city in North-Chungchung Province in the south and Yangpyeong-Gun in the north.
Yeogu-Gun is surrounded by three mountain ranges: Taebaek, Charyong, Gwangjuand. The Yeoju plains are located along the Namhan River, which flows right through Yeoju-Gun as the Yeo River. The northeastern part of the Yeo River is formed by a mountainous area and the southern part is formed by a plain area with open fields and hills.
Culture: The region is famous for its rice, which was eaten by royalty, and ceramic ware and melons. The Namhan River flows from the southeast to the northwest. The city is a historic/cultural site with many national treasures and cultural assets such as Namhan River¡¯s strategic Pasa Fortress, and the tomb of King Sejoeng, Yeong tomb, Shilreuk Temple, Godang Temple, etc.

Yeoju Ceramic Ware Exhibition (During May-June)
Under the slogan ¡°Harmony of Soil, Soul, and Fire" the region hosts the Yeoju Ceramic Ware Exhibition, participated in by all related industries in the region. A multi-exhibition hall and 60 other private exhibition halls are located in the Ceramic Ware village, where you can experience the actual process of production.

The Last Empress Whangwho Commemoration Ceremony
(During November/Nyeunghyun-Eup, Yeoju-Eup)
