| Korean Folk Village |
The village offers a glimpse into the lives of the Korean
people during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). There are traditional commoner'
houses, government offices, a Confucian academy, herbal medicine clinics,
private schools, street market, and houses of aristocrats.

| Ceramics Village in Icheon and the Icheon Ceramic Festival |
| The Ceramics Village has an exhibition hall, restaurants,
and parking lots. Visitors to the village can learn about the process of
making ceramics, make ceramic pieces themselves, and buy ceramics. The Icheon Ceramic Festival (www.fest.ceramic.or.kr) that is held in September every year has attracted many tourists, and visitors can purchase exhibited ceramics at a discount. In 2001, Icheon, Yeoju, and Gwangju jointly held the World Ceramic Exposition 2001 Korea. |

| Cultural Property Placed on the World Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO 'Suwon Hwaseong Fortress' |
Suwon Hwaseong Fortress (Historic Site No. 3) was built when
King Jeongjo (r. 1777-1800) of the Joseon Dynasty moved the tomb of his
father (Crown Prince Sado, who had been framed and put to death) to Suwon
and began construction of the new city of Suwon in memory of him. Along
with Changdeokgung Palace, the fortress was added to the World Cultural
Heritage List of UNESCO. The Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Cultural Festival is
held around Oct. 10th every year.

| Suwon Beef Ribs and the Suwon Beef Rib Festival |
| One of the most famous delicacies of Korea, Suwon beef ribs (galbi) are loved by gourmets at home and abroad. The Beef Rib Festival is held as part of the annual Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Festival and has become an important tourist attraction where visitors can relish both the exquisite taste of galbi and aspects of the traditional Korean lifestyle. Restaurants specialized in making these ribs are clustered in the pine tree area and near the entrance to the Gyeongbu (Seoul-Busan) Expressway in the Dongsuwon area. | ![]() |
| Everland in Yongin |
Everland in Yongin is a large theme park that attracts some
four million visitors annually. It has many amusement facilities; Bazaar
Zone; Festival World that features various festivals; Caribbean Bay, a world-class
water amusement facility; and the Speedway, the largest motor race track
in Korea.

| Ilsan Lake Park and the Goyang Korea Flower Show |
The largest artificial lake park has a waterside plaza, artificial
isles, an isle of medicinal herbs, reservoir-garden for ecological observation,
octagonal pavilion, outdoor performance stage, boat regatta, bicycle path,
outdoor botanical garden, childrenĄ¯s playground, and artificial waterfall.
The Goyang Flower Show is held in spring every year.

| Seoul Grand Park and the Seoul Land |
Seoul Grand Park has a zoo that is home to some 4,000 animals
of 380 species from all around the world, and a greenhouse botanical garden
with 1,220 species of plants. Seoul Land, a general amusement family park,
is divided into five areas with different themes, World Plaza, Samcheolli
Garden, Future World, Fantasy World, and Model World.

| Mt. Oh-du Unification Observatory |
Visitors to the observatory, located at the confluence of
the Han River from the south and the Imjin River from the north, can see
North Korea. The observatory has two exhibition halls, the North Korea Room
and the Unification Room, on the first and second floors. On the basement
level are retail and wholesale shops that sell North Korean-made products.
