Mt. Cheonggyesan |
| Description |
Mt.Cheonggyesan stretches from north to south along the eastern part of Pocheon-si's Ildong-myeon and also serves as the border with Gapyeong-gun. Its luxuriant, vast woodlands are a magnificent sight. At the mountain's valley is the Cheonggye reservoir, which has a 1 million-ton capacity. Released in the reservoir are more than 50,000 fry. In fact, it has become one of the region's most popular fishing sites since word got out that there were catches of huge carps. The waters that flow along the mountain's valleys are clear beyond words, which explains the origin of the name Cheonggyesan, meaning's clear valley mountain.
