Mt. Myeongseongsan
Description
Spread across Pocheon-si and Gangwon-do's Cheolwon-gun, the mountain, together with the adjacent Sanjeong Lake, creates the most beautiful scene. The rugged rock wall in the west and the eulalia field are especially worth seeing. At the foot of the mountain is Jainsa Temple which is set apart from others by the stone Buddha that is large in proportion to the main temple. Other than the stone Buddha, the temple also attracts tourists with its famous Gwanseeum-bosal(statue of the Merciful Goddess), stone tower and refreshing spring water that rises within the temple.
