Mt.Ungilsan [Sujongsa Temple]
Description
The 610m high Mt. Ungilsan is located within Namyangju-si's Joan-myeon, Gyeonggi-do. From the top of the mountain, the entire Yangsuri region may be looked down upon. Bukhangang and Namhangang rivers meet at the foot of this mountain, which is in the northwest section of Yangsuri. It's an ideal weekend hiking course for several northwest section of Yangsuri. Transportation poses no problem since city buses go in as far as the foot of the mountain, the scenery is beautiful, and the trails are fairly smooth. It may not be very tall, but that that is no reason to underestimate the view of the Paldangho Lake from the mountain's peak. In particular, the view of the lake from the Sujongsa Temple, which sits halfway up the mountain, is unquestionably the mountains greatest gift to its visitors.
Transportation
Bus: From in front of Cheongnyangri Station, Seoul, take city bus #8 or coach bus #166 and get off at the Jinjung 3-way intersection checkpoint just before crossing Yangsu-gyo bridge. By taxi, it's a 2,000 won ride to the entrance of Sujongsa Temple.
Car: Take Seoul 88 Olympic Road, cross Paldang-daegyo Bridge, Pass Paldang Dam and make a left in front of the Joan-myeon public health center
-From Cheongnyangri Station, Seoul, pass Mangwuri-Gogae Hill. From the Donong 3-way intersection, drive past Deokso, Paldang-daegyo Bridge and make a left in front of the Joan-myeon public health center.
