Site of Dasan Relics
Description
There's village called Mahyeon Village in Joan-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is referred to as Jeongdasan Village in order to commemorate the fact that the village is the birthplace of the famed Dasan(pen name) Jeong Yakyong, practical scientist of the late Joseon era. Sir Jeong Yakyong's birth home and burial grounds are situated within the area. Extending from the Paldang Dam towards Yangsu-ri, this riverside village could even be mistaken for an island. Its thick chestnut tree forest and gravel path along the riverside offers an ambiance that's just right for couples on a date or as a drive course.
