| Description |
|
Standing across Sintan-ri, Sinseo-myeon, Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do and Cheolwon-eup, Cheolwon-gun, Gangwon-do, the mountain(832m) has been relatively well preserved and kept its natural beauty, primarily because it is close to the Armistice Line. You can climb the mountain from the Sintan-ri Station, the last stop of the Gyeongwon Line, using one of the three 4Km courses. It usually takes about 3 to 4 hours to reach the top. From the top you can enjoy a magnificent view from the South Limit, Baekma Goji (highland), the Ridge of Blood, to the wide Cheolwon plain area. At the mouth of the mountain, stands a sign saying "The train wants to run." It is where the Gyeongwon Line is stopped because of the country's division. This place reminds of the pain and sufferings the Koreans experienced after the division.
